There is no place for harassment and discrimination on construction job sites. IMPACT has developed a video (PowerPoint presentation with audio) to support Ironworker member employers who conduct harassment and discrimination training. These resource materials are available as a module through our Online Learning Center. Employers are encouraged to develop and implement harassment and discrimination policies and training with the guidance of legal counsel.
The length of the video presentation is about one hour. The audio describing the information presented in the slides was recorded by an attorney with experience in harassment and discrimination.
This video is not meant to be the training program for the employer. Instead, this video is designed to be part of an employer’s harassment and discrimination program that should include the following components:
- Approved sexual harassment and non-discrimination policy in place and copies made available to all employees and workers. A policy template that can be adopted for use by the employer is available as part of this awareness module and is available in the Online Learning Center.
- Acknowledgement of the receipt of the policy and/or attending training on the harassment and discrimination policy should be kept on file by the employer as documentation. Sample forms are available as part of the awareness module in the Online Learning Center.
To view the awareness module, you must first request access using this online form. After completing and submitting the form, you will receive more information via email on how to proceed.
After you watch the harassment and discrimination video, you will be able to print an acknowledgement that will include the date. You may be asked to submit this as part of your employer’s harassment and discrimination program.
