In an effort to better serve a broad cross-section of ironworkers and their contractors, the Ironworker Management Progressive Action Trust (IMPACT) has translated certain portions of its website into Spanish, the labor-management group announced.
The Spanish-language version at http://www.impact-net.org/spanish/ includes translations of IMPACT’s home page, landing pages, program descriptions and general IMPACT information pages. The Spanish version maintains the clean, smart design of the English-language website, allowing users to easily navigate through current information and data.
“We are constantly seeking to improve the delivery of services to ironworkers and their contractors,” said IMPACT CEO Kevin Hilton. “They have made it known that they want easier and increased communications. They want up-to-date information in an easy-to-find format, and they want access to IMPACT services while at home or work. We responded, and this improved website should help to bridge any perceived gap between ironworkers, their contractors and the IMPACT offerings.”
IMPACT plans to unveil a French-language version of the website to complement the English- and Spanish-language sites in coming months.
IMPACT’s website is designed to assist ironworkers, contractors and business owners in making smart business decisions and maximizing business opportunities. Having grown to include more than 120,000 ironworkers and 3,000 contractors, translating portions of the website into Spanish will help accommodate more ironworkers and contractors seeking IMPACT’s services.
