It’s long overdue and a bit bitter sweet, but the Ironworkers who proudly built the World Trade Center's "Twin Towers" are getting their time in the spotlight. Jamie Nelson’s summer job led to historic images that will be displayed permanently at The Sept. 11 Museum. After its dedication on May 19th, the exhibit will open to the public on May 21, 2014.
This is a striking example of an ironworker taking a job to help his mom pay the bills and becoming a part of history. Never underestimate the power of our industry and the opportunities it provides to those who choose to be strong, brave and dedicated to strengthening our skylines.
