The new Countdown To Zero hard hat stickers have arrived!
The Iron Workers International's 2012 Zero Fatality campaign has been extremely well-received by Locals and Contractors alike. IMPACT continues to get requests for stickers and wristbands...so many that we ran out of hard hat stickers last month! 2012 is nearly over, but the Zero Fatality campaign will continue under a new name: Countdown To Zero. IMPACT has printed hard hat stickers with the new logo, which are available now on the IMPACT website.

The New Face of Harassment in Construction: Is Your Company Prepared?
According to a recent article in ENR, proposed anti-bullying laws in more than 20 states could bring a wave of sexual harassment lawsuits to the construction industry. IMPACT encourages contractors to develop and implement harassment and discrimination policies and training with the guidance of legal counsel to protect themselves and their employees.

IN MEMORIAM: JIM WALKER
IMPACT continues to grieve the sudden loss of James “Jim” Walker, Jr., a close friend and family member in the construction industry. In addition to serving proudly as the CEO of the Great Lakes Fabricators and Erectors Association, Jim also worked closely with IMPACT as a management member of the RAB VII Executive Committee.
“Jim was a well-loved member of our community, and he will be deeply missed,” IMPACT CEO Kevin Hilton said. “Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with his friends and family this holiday season.”
Jim passed away on December 5.
