WASHINGTON - Kevin Hilton, CEO of the Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust (IMPACT), was elected to the National Alliance for Fair Contracting (NAFC) Board of Directors on October 10 at the 14th Annual NAFC Conference in Washington.
“Leveling the playing field for our contractors ensures they receive more business and helps the ironworking industry to grow,” explained Hilton. “I’m excited to serve on a Board with that is so committed to Davis-Bacon enforcement and fair contracting issues.”
IMPACT works closely with Ironworker Contractors to identify market-growth strategies. Recent IMPACT offerings include Contractor Development Courses designed to train Ironworker members to become new Ironworker Contractors. In addition, IMPACT offers dozens of other programs, including Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage support, consulting services, insurance, web design and more, all with the goal of increasing Ironworker Contractor density in the market.
According to their website, the NAFC is a thirteen-member “labor-management organization of fair contracting organizations, labor unions and responsible contractors committed to the mission of leveling the playing field in publicly funded construction and bringing bidding equity to fair contractors.”
