Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust

Expanding Job Opportunities for Ironworkers and their Contractors

The off the Job accident program has been a God's send for our injured members and helps them from digging a financial hole. There is a process  of educating the members, following up with the paperwork to the Trust Fund, insuring the member is paid. This extra time is on behalf of the Business Manager but it is worth it.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Baker
President
Iron Workers District Council of North Central States

IMPACT Cultivates the Next Generation of Ironworkers at Washington Event

09/12/2012

WASHINGTON - On Saturday, September 22, 2012, the Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust (IMPACT) will be among those in the construction trades transforming the National Building Museum in Washington into a mecca for those who have ever dreamed of building something…anything.  From 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, this kid-oriented festival will bring together craftsmen and tradespeople from different disciplines, demonstrating their skills and giving opportunities for both the young and young-at-heart to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.

From building roller coasters to erecting skyscrapers, IMPACT’s booth will aim to educate guests on what it means to be an Ironworker.

“Union ironworking offers young people a challenging, satisfying and financially rewarding career that allows them to build and create,” said IMPACT CEO Kevin Hilton.  “They receive first class education and hands-on training, with opportunities for advancement that are virtually unlimited. The Big Build helps us highlight these incredible opportunities.”

IMPACT is committed to advancing public awareness of the union ironworking industry, is a supporter of programs like Future Farmers of America (FFA) and SkillsUSA and routinely exhibits at job fairs and shows aimed at introducing young people to the construction industry.
