Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust

Expanding Job Opportunities for Ironworkers and their Contractors

The off the Job accident program has been a God's send for our injured members and helps them from digging a financial hole. There is a process  of educating the members, following up with the paperwork to the Trust Fund, insuring the member is paid. This extra time is on behalf of the Business Manager but it is worth it.

Sincerely,
Michael L. Baker
President
Iron Workers District Council of North Central States

Developed by IMPACT, the Ironworker Foreman Pocket Guide contains 460 pages of information, tables, charts, diagrams, safety checklists, and other content for all areas of the ironworking trade. The major sections of the Ironworker Foreman Pocket Guide (which fits into a back pocket) include:

  • Foreman Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safety Checklists
  • Architectural and Ornamental
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Cranes
  • Emergency Signs and Symptoms
  • Post-Tensioning
  • Precast Concrete and Tilt-Up Panels
  • Reinforcing Concrete
  • Rigging
  • Structural Steel
  • Welding
  • Reference Section (Conversions, Weights, Math, etc.)

IMPACT continues to receive requests for the Ironworker Foreman Pocket Guide. The feedback has been very positive for the guide with some Local Unions making them available to not only their foremen - but all members.

These are available to local unions at $15.00 for individual copies, or $10.00 each for boxes of 10. Apprenticeship Coordinators and Directors are able to order these through the Ironworkers online bookstore (in the "Miscellaneous" section).
